ECO HOME MODULAR BUILD
The Harriet Tubman YWCA in the Hayti neighborhood of Durham, North Carolina is a historic property being adapted into permanent supportive housing by Reinvestment Partners, a local non-profit affordable housing developer and service provider. The existing building was an important landmark during the Civil Rights Era, but has been vacant and deteriorating over several decades in a neighborhood which was increasingly disenfranchised.

“Haven was a great partner for the conversion of our Dove House property, a 1940s duplex that had served as a transitional shelter for more than two decades. We worked together to design and transform the property into the region’s first affordable co-housing project. The home is gorgeous. And even three years after construction, it still looks amazing.”
